In short: Kaho Likho uses your voice to write your text, and for nothing else. We don't read what you type on the keyboard, we don't keep your voice recordings once your text is ready, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.

1. Who we are

Kaho Likho is a brand of Next Gen Payment Wallet India Private Limited ("we", "us"), CIN U74999UP2021PTC152770, registered office at 4th Floor, 402, Alpha-1, I.A. Surajpur, Greater Noida Alpha Road, Alpha 1, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201310, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for your personal data.

2. What we collect

  • Voice you dictate. Only when you tap the microphone, the audio you speak is sent to be turned into text (and, if you choose, translated).
  • The text we produce from your voice, so that we can return it to you.
  • Account details, if you create an account: for example your mobile number or email, and your language settings.
  • Technical data: device model, app version, crash reports and basic usage counts (for example how many minutes you dictated), to keep the app working and fairly metered.

What we don't collect: what you type with the keyboard's keys, your passwords, the content of the apps you type into, your contacts or your location.

3. How we use it

  • To turn your speech into clean text, and translate it when you ask.
  • To run your account, apply your plan and settings, and give support.
  • To keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We don't use your voice or text to advertise to you, and we don't sell personal data.

4. How long we keep it

  • Voice recordings: deleted as soon as your text has been produced.
  • Dictated text: not stored on our servers after it has been returned to you, unless you choose to save it in the app.
  • Account and billing records: for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period the law requires.

5. Who processes it

We use service providers to run Kaho Likho: cloud hosting, and speech-recognition and translation services that process your audio and text on our behalf. They may use it only to provide the service to us, under contracts that require them to protect it. We don't allow them to use your voice or text to train their own models. We share data with authorities only where the law requires.

6. Permissions

  • Microphone: used only while you are dictating.
  • Keyboard: Android asks you to enable Kaho Likho as a keyboard. Android shows a general warning that keyboards can see what you type. Kaho Likho doesn't record or send your typed keystrokes.
  • Internet: needed to convert and translate your speech.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. You can delete your account from the app or by writing to support@kaholikho.com. Kaho Likho isn't meant for children under 18 without a parent's consent.
